Dude, Janick is a fuckin' hack and a HALF...LOL....his tone blows, his chops suck, his vibrato is awful...I can usually find SOMETHING good in just about any guitar player..for instance, as much as I think Hammet sucks, he's had some good guitar work on earlier Metallica albums...I can admit that
but I cannot find one redeeming thing about Janick..not a single one...
also, Dance of Death is not only one of the worst Maiden albums ever to see the light of day, it's one of the worst metal albums of the past decade...there, I said it

his tone is great, and yes, he makes a few mistakes, but its alot less than most other guitarists. he's a great showman, and dance of death rocks! also, brave new world is my favourite iron maiden album, and its because of adrian, dave and janick playing so well together and creating some kickass riffs

Sorry, I foam at the mouth when I hear post 7th son Maiden praise..LOL...to me it's one of my biggest musical disappointments..right up there with Lynch's recent playing =(
I lived, breathed, ate and shat maiden for the better part of a decade...I don't like what they've been doing for a very long time, but I got 7 killer albums to listen to so it's ok =)

martin birch was great...he's produced alotta great albums..produced deep purple's machinehead
wasn't Steve harris producing them for awhile? I know that at the very least he edited and 'directed' some of their live vids, starting with maiden england I beleive

i have this video of maiden playing in sweden on the "no prayer for the dying tour".
janick's dancing around like a moron for most of the show and then he stops playing to pick something up that someone in the audience threw.
the funny thing is that there was NO change is sound when he stopped playing...no difference...just dave is playing and there's no difference in sound...i'm convinced that dude isn't even in the mix unless he takes a solo

yeah, Steve does all the Videos/DVDs. Which is why it takes so long to get them because he says he's a 'perfectionist'

Brave New World is my favorite Maiden album as well, I love it. Dance Of Death is also killer IMO. The only Maiden albums I don't like are the Blaze ones and No Prayer For The Dying. I think Brave New World and Dance Of Death have their best tones and production as well.
And Janick still rules, I don't care what any of you say.

I think it's around $1000-1200 or so depending on what the conversion rate is currently at.
