Dave, question on Buff Puff pedal

Is there a certain place in the line of effects that you usually reccomend the buff puff be?

I dont many many effects but I loose a little with 20ft cables to and from my pedal board.

I noticed that there is a black colored Buff Puff pedal, in addition to the more common silver colored one.. I can't find any info on the black colored model; I noticed it in a video of Jerry Cantrell's signal chain. Are the schematics of the two the same, or are they different? Cosmetically, the silver one has the gain knob in the middle; the black one has the gain knob on the left side.

Black was a limited edition and are all gone now. No difference though.

Are you still working on a Friedman buffer? I seem to remember reading that in a post some time ago.
