So I have successfully used many of my amps in stereo, running one out from a stereo effects pedal to the send/return of an amp and then the second out from the pedal to the return of the second amp's effects loop.

I have been able to do this with my Orange Super Crush 100 and Marshall Silver Jubillee with no issues.

Today I tried to run my Orange Dual Baby in this type of setup and it didnt work. I thought maybe there was an issue with my cables somewhere or some other problem but when I plugged the same cables into my Orange Super Crush and Marshall, it worked immediately.

Can anyone think of why the Dual Baby wouldn't be able to do this? Was wondering if the type of effects loop might be the issue? I thought the Baby series had the same effects loop as the Super Crush but not sure. If there is something else I'm missing, let me know. It is baffling.

I saw that the effects loop is buffered and the Keeley Halo has a buffered trails option by default. Would that maybe cause an issue?

Try sticking a dummy 1/4” phono plug into the send of the dual baby effects loop and see if it works afterwards. I think it has something to do with how the jacks themselves are wired for noise management.

I know some do the loop thing with the amp as a power amp. I prefer stereo FX chorus into the front of each amp.
I had a bad experience slaving a Fender amp once. Not comfortable with that setup.
