Got a Time Factor pedal in the loop of a JVM, when I pull the cables out my amp is roaring with massive tone. Why is this, and how can I set this up to utilize the loop yet retain tone??? What is the absolute best way to use the TF with this JVM??

this is actually my buddy's amp. He's wanting to put the Time Factor in front of the amp...is this a bad idea?? Need some good advice here

thanks

Are you using the passive or series loop first??
And what are the levels..

Once again, it's not my rig but he's running the FX loop knob at 100%

Thats understandable but the JVM has a passive and serial loop.

a "delay" pedal is best-suited to be used in the fx loop of an amp.the Time Factor pedal most likely runs at "instrument level" whereas the fx loop of the amp typically runs at "line level".so you've got a mismatch & there's your volume loss & tone suckage.

I believe the Time Factor is switchable between line and instrument levels.

if that's the case, then setting the pedal to match whatever level the amp's fx loop "runs" at should solve the problem.
