glad to hear this... now where is the signature edition marshall plexi for the new album launch?
 
I'd say it's fitting that I am listening to Van Halen when I read this... but hell... I listen to them every day.

As long as Dave is singing it's guaranteed to suck.
 
When DLR confirms something to do with VH, that almost guarantees that it will never happen.
 
Don't they need to finish their "postponed" tour first? :gethim:

Their last album was not bad...may be a good warm up for another one.
 
Roth still sounds very good recorded. Live he's mostly pretty awful.

The last album is great! Much better than I expected....

I agree. But unless they have more leftover material from the 70s, I'm not sure there's any well to go back to for new stuff.
 
This is great news! That Tattoo disc brought me much joy. Eddie sounded like himself but evolved with shades of Vai and downtuned brutalness creeping in. Wolfie stunned me by how great his lines were. I even like DLR & his whole schtick. I'm totally down for more VH

Yeah that was a demo song from the 70's that never made it to an album, even though they were putting cover tunes on each one to fill up some space. That should tell you something. ;) Also, remember that Wolfie picked that song out for them to redo. I'm not defending them as I mostly agree with you, but just sayin'. :)

p.s. I'm not a big (or really even medium sized) VH fan........... just FWIW
 
The bridge in Tattoo is outstanding. I don;t know who Swamp meet Sally is, but that is good stuff :yes:
I understand the dislike of the chorus, but there's lots of classic VH that is just as cheesy & has a similar good time vibe
You all need to get Frosty
 
There is a recent interview with Wolfgang where he said there was still material in the vault
