 I bought a dean d100 off a friend who was in a bad spot and i cant figure out how to switch from the clean channel to the dirty channel independently. It seems as if channel 2 ( distortion channel) is always engaged....... Yes, it does have a setting on the footswitch to combine the two and YES i made sure it was off. but ive exhausted every combination imaginable to turn it off. The only way i can switch from clean to dirty is to roll the gain back on channel 2 by hand. Defeating the purpose of th3 footswitch and causing me a headache! Is there something im doing wrong or is this particular unit a piece? ? :gethim:

Probably something wrong with the switch or jack. My old randalls had that same feature, and wwould do that if it had a short in the wire/switch..... check the connection where it plugs into the head, see if its loose, or has a dirty jack, or if the wire from the footswitch is damaged...

the problem is either the non-stereo cable you are using (instead of the correct stereo one) or in the actual input jack on the back of the head for the cable to the foot switch.
