Hey guys, my band is going to track our debut album this fall and I was curious about your opinions on a few things.

1. What should you price a debut album at?
And
2. What is the ideal number of tracks for a debut album?

10 and 10

this is about right although I would go for 8 really strong songs (unless you think you have 10 great ones). I am of the opinion that your first album shouldn't have any filler material so if you think a song isn't a good as the one before it then leave it off, you can always release it later

Also have a free download for 2 tracks to try and get the ball rolling

I was leaning towards the 7-9 mark, just so you could play most to all of the album in a standard set time. The free download is a great idea though. I've heard a lot of people mention the "pay what you want" on bandcamp, too.
