Are there any wah's out there that let you change the curve of the sweep? I've always felt that most wahs (if not all the ones I've tried) use up the "depth" of the wah within the first, oh, I'd say 1/4 of the foot pedal's motion, and the rest is the high end, which has less of a dramatic effect. Are there any wahs out there that would allow me to change it so that the "depth" occupies more like 1/2 to even 3/4 of the foot pedal motion? I'm eventually going to get an axe FX ultra for my effects, so if that allows you to change the curve, then problem solved, but I went on their wiki and didn't see it. I'm cool with hardware wahs as well. Any suggestions?

the dime DB-01 wah or 535Q would be your best bet since you can alter the sweep range to get it as dark as you see fit using the large external range selector knob and adjust the Q via the small knob on the opposite side of the wah to then shape how wide or narrow the wahs spread/voice is. a lower Q is a wider less aggressive peak of the wah and a higher Q a sharper more aggressive peak. with the Q low it will spread longer but be a bit more subtle and less "quacky" or WOW like. with the Q higher it has more "quack" and WOW to the voice but since the peak is so high it makes the sweep feel shorter and it also doesn't cut as well in high gain use.

thus why the DB-01 or 535Q would work for you to tweak all those areas to hopefully find what you want.

i have the crybaby from hell. i like it.

RMC Wizard is the deepest ad fattest I've played, and I've been wanting for one 2 years since, but it's pricy. :(

another vote for the dimebag wah....im not a fan but its a damn good pedal.

RMC 6 has the widest sweep I've played. It doesnt have that vintage tone but a huge sweep.

I'll have to look into the RMC stuff. I tried the Dimebag, and I really didn't feel it was what I was looking for. I have a Gig-FX Mega wah, and it comes DAMN close to what I want, but ONLY if I use the "mega mega" wah effect (for those that don't know, its a stereo wah that lets you run your guitar into input one, and the output one into input two, so that you essentially "double" your wah, its a really fucking awesome effect, but it gets really noisy, and can be very screachy).

I've known that some alter the "Q" range, but that never seems to be exactly what I want. It still feels like the Depth is still achieved mostly in the first 1/4 of the pedal movement. I almost think it might be a mechanical mod I may be looking for, that translates the movement at a more drastic curve. I should look into have my mega wah further modified probably. I already got an extra switch in that lets me change it from instant on/off to a 2 second delay before the heel position turns it off. What's another mod, eh? Hahaha.
