Going to see Def Leppard on saturday. Never saw them live. Anyone saw them recently? How are they in those days?

I saw them last Summer with Foreigner and Night Ranger. Foreigner was best band there. Followed by Night Ranger. Def Leppard is washed up these days IMO.

Joe isn´t what he was, but the band as a whole is still good. You can´t really go wrong with all those songs, either. I saw them maybe two years ago and it was a good show.

I saw them last year and it's a great show BUT (and I'm not sure this is really a criticism) it's really, really, REALLY polished - it's not really a 'rock n roll show'..

That's always been their kinda thing though, so no surprise there. I saw them a few years ago with Whitesnake opening and they blew them off stage for me. Whitesnake were good, but Leppard are the best example of a band making music FOR huge shows and you can definitely tell the difference.

I saw them in December... they felt like a tribute act to themselves. They run on backing track so the show is very regimented. The harmonies where bad and Joe's voice is shot. Phil still walks around oiled up with his shirt off. Lots of melting faces... I don't mean in a good way... Joe's face is genuinely melting.

Was fun but felt similar to seeing "Rock of Ages" musical

100% same experience! Whitesnake felt rock n roll, there is still love for the music by the band members. Def Leppard felt more karaoke

Phil Collin is such a douche, running around all oiled up and shirtless. Can't stand him. I can take JE's voice being shot more than that other douche bag prancing around the stage like he's God's gift to women.

Gotta agree saw them a few years ago. I didn't get the shirts off... I guess for young impressible females . I can take Joe's voice for the most part but the sound wasn't great, I was about 50 feet from stage and the bass was so over powering it was hard to enjoy the show. I wouldn't run back to see them again but they do have some great tunes.

It's a trip down memory lane for all the milfs who "Danced" there way through college to pour some sugar on me..

I'm going to see them in a few weeks. Not really my thing anymore, though I love Tesla and Reo has enough songs I guess. I have heard some of the newer Lep stuff and yeow, even in the studio Joe sounds pretty bad. I know I probably won't hear Mirror Mirror, Lady Strange, or Billy's Gotta Gun, but if I get one of them, it might be worth the price of admission.

Haha. Saw them about 7 years ago, and joes voice was toast then. I heard Foolin kickin in, and I was screaming "song it Elliot, you fuck." Beer was involved, and he totally let me down on the high parts. Lol.

Saw them in 87', I prefer to stay with that memory..... ;)

Right there with ya. I saw them back in '83 and Krokus opened up for them. Both bands kicked ass and it was a great time. I'll keep that one in the memory bank and never tarnish it by seeing them again. I kinda feel the same way about Metallica.

On the plus side, you get to be 25 this year instead of 50!
Enjoy that, dude.
