My wife just informed me that we are going to see Def Leppard in August :aww:

My plan is to get as drunk as possible and keep my eyes off the big screens. Just stand there and try to let the music flow without getting too critical. Kind of like I did with recent Van Halen shows (although Eddie did deliver)

Or if you don't want to go you could take you balls out of her purse and tell her to go with a friend ;)

Or, he could be a GOOD husband and do something his wife wants to do even though he doesn't really want to do it. She will appreciate it and likely return the favor at some point. It takes balls to not be selfish and sacrifice your time for those you love.

That's what I'm thinking.

She got the tickets as a surprise for our anniversary - which is today.

Last night we hung out together in the hot tub and listened to 80's rock on her Pandora channel. Lots of good memories flowing and there was a fair dose of the Leppard on that channel as you can imagine.

It's all good

I can think of worse things to do then "having to go" to a def lepp show. Still a rock show, I take that over many of the other things that whipped husbands often have to do.

The wink meant I was kidding. Figured that was self explanatory.

You ain't kidding

Keep in mind as indicated in my earlier post, half of your time there will be watching 2 other very good bands, and the Speedwagon friggen rocked. Just go grab a pretzel or burger during 'fight this feelin anymore' and your good to go.

So as you can tell by the picture, I had a chance to meet them last Friday night. I thought they were nice in person. As far as for the music, I thought they sounded pretty good and so did Tesla and REO Speedwagon. We are getting married in about 6 weeks and this was a wedding gift from our friend in the picture. I'll take that any day instead of dishes, regardless if it is Def Leppard or not. \m/

Well as I announced in the beginning of the tread I went to see Def last saturday In QC city. Opening was Tesla, they gived a good performance but I'm not really a fan of them. They played for about 35 min. Sounded great by the way! Second was REO Speedwagon, did a reaaly great job! The band sounded awsome and they were very tight. Great performance even if I'm also not a big fan. Then Def. They did a great show, I have to admit. They sounded awsome and Joe's voici was pretty tight. I have to say that after all the comments tant I read about Joe's voice I was a little scared! Ok the key! The band is really downtune, It help for shure the signer. In the original key he wouldn't be able to sign those Foolin and Photograph song but downtune was really good. The visual effects and the band interraction with the crowd was very good too. The sound was awsome as it is for almost every band in the new building that we have in QC city. Well not the best show I saw in my life but really happy as it turned out!

Phil Collin is such a douche, running around all oiled up and shirtless. Can't stand him. I can take JE's voice being shot more than that other douche bag prancing around the stage like he's God's gift to women.

PC is in the new issue of Vintage Guitar and guess what......his jacket is wide open so all the guys reading the mag can see his manly chest and abs. So GAY. Cant stand that guy. Then I read the article and he goes on and on about how he uses all "plugins" now when he records and he "defy's" anyone to tell him they can tell the difference between the plugins and a real amp. Ugghhh. The guy hasnt had a decent tone in over 20 years. Just take your money to the bank and shut up.
Its cool guys are going to see them and having fun. I'm all for that, but it would be hard for me to watch any band with this guy in it. Oh....and just so you dont miss out, he has a "blues project" he doing now too. Phil does the blues.......with plugins......he dont need no stinkin tube amps!

Phil's favorite plugin HAS to be the one that goes in his azz, brown sound from that he-she wife of his.
