Deja Vu vs. Flashback

I'll have a Flashback here tomorrow. I like the concept of the Tone print option....

Recently bought one of the $79 Deja Vus from GC. I really like the configuration of the pedal. Depending upon your intended use and your rig, it might be ok. In my setup, it was a bit noisy and I couldn't find the right mix/level of delay signal. I returned it and I need to decide between a Nova Delay from proguitarshop.com or an El Cap. I had to give it a shot for $79, though. The flashback will do most of what the others will do, but that one footswitch button is multitasking and you lose the ability to select divisions from your tempo, i.e. quarter notes, dotted eighths, etc.

i bought one of the 79 dollar dejavu's from guitar center as well. 2 days into i had problems with the pedal and the infamous "white noise" people get from them. i would highly suggest buying the extended warranty plan if you go this route, because they seem to have a lot of problems with them. i ended up returning mine. i will say that while the pedal is working right it is an absolute killer pedal

I had 2 of the Deja Vu pedals. Both returned because of malfunction. If it works properly I'd say it's a cool pedal. I bought it to use in addition to my Flashback. If I had to have only one, absolutely no contest for me. The Flashback is pretty damn sweet.

I bought a 79 gc pedal. no problems, or noise. I actually like it better than the fb. It took some tweaking. The tap tempo, and adjustable modulation , and efx loop put it over the top. The looper works great-cant overlap or insert more than 1 loop though. FB is a great pedal also/

I've been using the Deja Vu for years now and never had a problem with it. The only time I ever got any noise out of it was when I first got it and the battery went dead. Since I put a board together, I have never had a problem. Those who have had it die, how did you power it?

I tried a Flashback in GC, and it sounded good, but I didn't like it as much as my DV. Something about the blend between the real BBD anolog and the digital that does it for me. I get a classic decay with a little clarity dialed in. Plus, I like making noise and recording it for live perposes. My band usually had a goal of pissing people off (at least I did.)

Flashback fanboy here :inlove:

The only thing one might not like is the strum tempo, the rest is so good, best bang for the buck delay IMHO.

Deju Vu here is the name of a Gentleman's club. :)

On a serious note, I have seen much more positive praise of the TC flashback and I like the smaller footprint...

If you were born in Soviet Union or other Socialist country and now living in USA you are having a flashbacks. If we reelect Obama then you will have Deja Vus.

...See what happens when you don't specify questions :D

I have't tried the Deja Vu but really enjoyed the flashback when I had one. Really don't think you'd regret that decision.

ABSOFUCKINGLOUTELY!

I have been playing with my new Flashback all day and it's great. Haven't even got to the Tone Prints or run stereo yet. Anyone want to buy a DD3? :)

I love my Flashback, I don't see replacing it unless it breaks for a long time. Does exactly what I need.

Got the déjà vu today in mail. Why does it sound like no matter what I do with it the fkn thing sounds like its got reverb on it. ? Going into fx loop of Royal Atlantic. like I can't get it to sound warm if ya know what I mean. ???
