When using the amp distortion, personnaly I used it in the loop because the comes from my G-major but is there any in line users and what difference does it makes?

Delay and Chorus in the loop for me if the amp has one. Otherwise Delay and Chorus out front after the dirt pedals. :)

Both the delay and the chorus in the (parallel) loop for me. I like a subtitle chorus this way.

Too much gear with the WET/Dry setup!

Compared to what? the PA, Drums, Keyboards... Just saying, Not all w/d setups need to be large, just like not all PA's, Keyboards or Drum sets are large.

I have never had a modulation effect sound great in front of a high gain amp.

Regarding a W/D set up; All you need is your main amp > line out to effects > combo amp effects return. The combo can be any small amp with an effects loop. Really not much extra to carry considering the big sound you get.

Door #3-- 'Post' amp, w/d/w
That is how I do it as well, but in the absence of a W/D/W setup, I'd put both in a parallel EFX loop and asset the effects 100% wet adjusting the sends and returns as necessary to get it to sound killer...

MMmmmm... Wet/Dry/Wet! :inlove: :

For me I can use the chorus infront or loop but the delay has to be in the loop for me to like it.

THIS.

Even the most subtle chorus seems to degrade the distorted tones if it's in front.

Got a quick question....already running a EQ pedal in the loop. Want to add a Delay pedal with it.
The Delay should go before the EQ right?
Sorry....noob question....I am normally just a plug and play guy.

Depends on the pedal - as a general rule, I would agree with you. The CE-2 is known for sounding especially good in front of the amp. I use it in front of my SLO, 101B, Dual Recto, as well as my old Marshalls. Sounds killer with each of them.

Both in the loop. I think it sounds too harsh in front when using high gain.

CE-5 in front, delay in loop.
I've never liked chorus in a loop.
