What’s wrong with a clownburst..?

My 76 LPC is a clownburst lol

I don’t see a problem with that burst, but I do have my own preferences. Personally I like the burst that is there to not be transparent. So in this case, a black that you can’t see flame through. Otherwise just keep it all non-burst and the same stained color. A semi-burst isn’t my thing IMO.
 
I like it. Has depth to it, and isn’t the typical thing you see every day.
 
I like it because it's different, but I think it would be more pleasing to my eye if the colors were reversed.

If this is your personal guitar and you think it's badass... Who gives a shit what the rest of us think?

Yeah. Kiesel used to advertise that finish on a guitar. I like the transblack flamed maple. I think with the burst it looks really cool
 
I love it. But I love seeing the flamed maple thru the finish most of all.
 
Neither. I wouldn't call it clownburst but it is not something I would want to buy. The colors dont mesh well to me, maybe in person.
