Of course you can do that. Just connect outer pot legs in parallel and tapers to R and S. 1Meg pots for passives, 50k (or 25k) pots for active pickups. However, bear in mind, that that way you can create ground loop, depending on your rig topology. Consider, whether it is not better to use some buffer followed by a volume pedal.

You can use TS cable, but then you have to turn the second pot to zero.
