Deleting a preset?

Hi all. Searched around the net, but couldnt find anything.

I made changes to a preset, and now that preset remains, and in addition, I have one of the same number with an *. Is there a way I can delete that one with the * w/o affecting anything else?

The * preset is what ever the current edit is. To erase it just load another preset
