Demon Hunter check out the ASG Hybris [VIDEO]

Had the chance to hang out with Patrick and Jeremiah from Demon Hunter a couple nights ago and they test drove the ASG Hybris prototype. This is the first of two videos, showing some brief footage of them playing through it and then giving some of their initial thoughts and impressions.



And a 2nd video of strictly playing through the amp:

 
I like it! Nice grind and heavy rock crunch at the beginning. I didn't like it as much when he turned on the boost (overdrive?) around :45. Seemed to get kinda scooped and take away the nice snarl. Sounds great though!
 
Thanks guys! The pedal was actually a BBE Sonic Stomp that they threw in the EFX loop for a little bit. They say they use it that way sometimes to do a solo boost type thing.

But they were not boosting the front end at all, the guitar was straight in.

Ah yes, the sonic max. I used to have one in my rig around 2000-2001 and I hated what it did to the tone. Helped me cut in the mix but thinned out and sterilized my amp.

The amp sounds killer! Looking forward to a demo with more playing. :thumbsup:

Thanks! Yep, CEC Amplification is my company but ASG Amps is another amp company that I am co-owner of. I designed and built the Hybris, which we are launching officially at NAMM next month.
 
Sounds pretty killer. I agree about how it sounded boosted but man, the actual unboosted amp sounds rad.
