If the US can’t keep their prisoners safe from this type of thing maybe they shouldn’t be sent to prison. The US Government still has a duty of care to its prisoners - especially to ex-cops who are obviously targets. If they can’t be housed safely with the general prison population then bloody construct a prison for police prisoners or put them in home detention. So even if what he did was disgusting so is the US prison and judicial system.

There really isn’t anything funny about any prisoner getting shanked 22 times because they can’t be incarcerated safely. A prison sentence should not be a death sentence when it’s not actually a death sentence.
That guy is a sociopath and likely had hundreds or more victims throughout his career. Sounds like he got off easy, tbh.

No more or less than any other cop that I can tell. Either way, he didn’t kill Saint Floyd, which is the reason he was imprisoned.
Tell me you don’t know any cops without telling me you don’t know any cops

They are mostly all guilty thanks to the code of silence but even though Chauvin is probably another dirtbag he didn't kill Floyd and shouldn't serve time for a crime that didn't happen. Unless you are emotionally driven by media propaganda it's pretty clear how this should be handled.

That’s not what I asked, is it.

I don’t care what you asked. I was responding to your implication that most cops are sociopaths

I just happen to know a fair amount of police officers and I'm not sure I'd consider any of them sociopaths
You live in the Berkshires. I don't think knowing cops there represents a very good cross section of the mentality of your average urban beat cop.

He obviously knows that. He’s “just doin’ his thing, man.”
