Derek Chauvin stabbed 22 times in prison

Yeah or if you lost a loved one to some murderous dirtbag you might also feel differently.

Read about the toy box killer and some of these other sadistic people and get back to me about whether they should have a death penalty. These people aren't worth studying or trying to understand, you just execute them. I was just watching footage from Sheriff Grady in Florida this a.m talking about catching a guy who was filming videos of a six month old child with it's hands tied behind his back being sexually assaulted by multiple adult males. Isn't that nice? That was just one of his many videos. I consider their execution to be part of my christian duty. The longer they are alive, the more people they destroy. They should be held accountable here so maybe they won't be damned for eternity in the world to come since they would have paid for their crimes in the here and now.

If someone did that to a member of my family or a close friend there would be no need for a trial I promise you that!

Most people in normal jobs don't run the risk of going to jail if they f up. I don't think the Police are paid enough to warrant that risk in their employment. Also why should the Police take any risk with people when they can turn around and kill you. They have a right to come home safe at night. They are very quick to hand you a speeding or traffic fine which is low hanging fruit (at least in this country). Having said that, if they stuff up they don't deserve to be stabbed 22 times and sent to jail for life. It's just plain wrong - I hope your country loses its Police and it descends into anarchy and lawlessness - it seems that's what your nation deserves ie. be careful what you wish for.

Well not really sure where you are coming from with your last sentence….helluva thing to wish on a bunch of your forum peeps from here…but hey whatever….as far as the police..or road pirates as I like to call them.. pretty much agree. They are like a blister and show up when the work is done. And those salaries for the police are insane. We have a single town cop….last time I checked he was like $10/hour. County deputies are like 30-40k/year and the state police are 40-50k/year. I retired with 22years service making 70k/year. I should have moved…duh….

Exactly, because that is the natural order. Read Genesis. The blood of the innocent who are murdered cries out from the ground. It pollutes the land when justice isn't served. Capital punishment is core to any stable society.

Who faces greater judgment in the life to come, the murderer who gets away with it and lives out his years comfortably or the murderer who is caught and is punished for his crime?

It makes sense, but pretty sure the Bible at least doesn’t say it. And since damnation is eternal, there are no possible gradations —at least mathematically (Any number multipled by infinity is infinity).
 
The hell with capital punishment. Make them rot in prison. That way their life sucks until the end and any innocents might have a chance of release.

I'm not sure of orthodox dogma on the issue to be honest but a murderer carries blood guilt and according to the OT the murderer must pay an "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth". If the murderer is executed and punished for the crime I cannot see any justice in punishing him again for a crime he has already paid for. But alas, you could be correct as well.

I guess it depends on where you live. City cops here start at about 50K, no one bumping 6 figures except maybe mayor or police chief.

Mate I don’t really wish it to happen but with with all the crazies over there wanting to defund the police etc and send them to jail to get stabbed I’m sure you know what I mean

It’s a total circus. And deteriorating rapidly. But I like to think many, if not most Americans are decent though, if not a little slow to recognize how manipulated we are.

I don’t think most Americans are any different to us in Australia but things do seem extra crazy over there for some unknown reason.
