Ya know... I've always despised the Idol stuff and I don't even know why... I may have to rethink all of that and give that catalog a listen.... Now only if there was a vocal-free version available.... LOL.

None the less, an amazing run down and a really laid back and talented guitar player.

Have you heard the BLS, Black Light Syndromew album? It is Terry Bozzio, Tony Levin. and Steve Stevens. All instrumental!

Awesome , thanks for posting this. Remember being blown away first time I saw Steve play, he is a tremendous tAlent and knows when and what to play without overplaying like many talented guys end up doing at times.
So who is now looking for vintage ray guns on eBay??

Not a Billy Idol fan but SS is a very interesting player and seems like a cool dude as well.

Thanks! Gonna check out that album now!

Really neat setup he has! Seems like a really down to earth guy as well. Always liked his tone! What a great talent he is.

Thx for posting!

:)

Steve is awesome. I think its amazing to be able to have all of that gear find clever ways to musically incorporate it. He certainly does it well.

Steve Stevens FTW!!!!
One of my Favs.
I've owned both Bozzio, Levin, Stevens LP's
since they came out, probably 2 of my favorite
Instrumental Albums to date.
They are in Heavy rotation on my playlist!
Here's one I always Drone out to:

Very nice of him to take the time for that kind of thing, and some guys have their tech's do the interview.. that drives me nuts.

You know you made it when you have a truck load of gear to haul around, but you don't lift a finger to move it around.

As said above. Who takes that much time!? Not just that either-seemed like he sincerely enjoyed it. I didn't get the impression that Steve felt like he was doing anyone any favors. Usually it is the tech being interviewed and when it is the actual musician, the detail isn't typically there. Really good stuff.

Very nice!....the eventide pitch factor will do an almost spot on recreation of the ray gun w/ expr.pedal..( if ya can't find the ray gun anywhere).

Very cool all round, but I guess I could nitpick and say that they didn't go into the rack effects very much.
I was wondering if Steve was going to mention the SDD-320 he used to use with the Rockman for the 'Flesh for Fantasy' effects, and if he just replicated the chorusing with the current rack unit/s.
