New roof on house B started today. I’ll post more about that later, but…

Sir Elliott has been on high alert all day and has been a VERY good boy. We had to replace one skylight so part of the crew (that will be the focus of the future post - some may not like my take 😉) had to come in the house to align things. They absolutely would not breach the door until he was kenneled, even though he never barked, growled or threatened. His demeanor and posture was more than enough.

It’s (somewhat) odd, but then again, it’s the breed. He was not trained for protection and he will sit silently at the door waiting to see whether he needs to intervene. God help you if he decides that’s required. I’ve seen him go from the deck to the back corner of the lot (~40 feet) in three strides and 2 seconds. You might get in. You’re not getting out.

And yet, here he is contemplating whether to roll over 😀
