DFW Ampfest 2022 - Who's Interested?

Seeing if any DFW folks want to do another Ampfest as we did back in back in 2019. We had a lot of great dudes come out with amps I would have never come across otherwise, and it was just a fun afternoon.

If there's anyone here I missed, please chime in if you're interested. Thinking March, April, or May? Could even try summer, depending on a weekend best for folks.

I think we had the room for 5 hours. Last time we had so many great amps & cabs we didn't get to rifle through all of them, unfortunately. Perhaps we can get a list of who's got what and see which amps everyone is keen to try to maybe limit it to just what people want?

Of course, if you're outside the DFW, you're welcome to join. Just want to get a headcount & what amps/cabs you could bring for all to enjoy.

I've got a 2016 Fully Loaded Splawn Comp. Happy to leave that home if no one's keen to hear/play it. Scottosan, I'd love to play one of your newest amp or pedal creations.

Reply if you're interested & when may be a good weekend/Saturday/Sunday to do it in the next 2-3 months. Also, let us know what amps/cabs you have.

If we can't get it off the ground soon, maybe we try for summer or early fall. Cheers.
 
I may be able to jump in, depending on when it happens (I travel a lot). I could bring any (or all) of the amps in my sig, and possibly a new in-bound build, if timing is right. Cabs; at least a few options.
 
I was there, from Austin, I had the Gower Jose and Mojave Jose. It would be great if we can find a place that has multiple practice style rooms. We used to set these up in New Zealand and had a doom room, edge of break up room, few rock rooms and a main room for a group jam if anyone wanted to join in. I now have a Vplex CCV ish clone I am bring, not sure if there is any interest in the Gower Jose or Mojave. I also have a Rivera KR7 rig if there is interest in Head and 2 x 12 cab is for sale locally.

I’d think we’d need to settle on dates before we can inquire about pricing. I want to say for the large room we got last time was probably about $100 for 4-5 hours
 
The wall of mirrors in the last jam room made it WAY too bright and tight...especially since all the cabs were facing that wall.
But there were so many great amps there.
The big jam room was great,but the farther away from the cabs we were the more woolfy and muddy it got.
But there were so many great amps there.

I am working 6 nights a week,and have been since before Thanksgiving.
I see no signs of it letting up. Lots of backlogged freight because the ports in California are fucked.
Not complaining...I'm actually very happy making big bux.
But as a senior driver,I KNOW I have a make money while I can. We all know it can go to shit at any moment.
I'd love to bust out a unicorn,but if I had the time to go where it is I'd rather spend time with the best broham who keeps it safe.
He hasn't seen me in a year and has already sent one text guilting me about it.
Other than the unicorn,I do have a powered Kemper that loaded for bear with great profiles that Juggernaut Mike could bring if he wanted to.
Give you guys a chance to see what one can do live(tho it's the recording aspect where it shines).
There is also a Randall X2 over there(Dime tone in a box),but I doubt there are many that want to hear that amp.
Not to mention that I quit buying gear and haven't plugged in in almost a year.

I know this probably reads bad. It shouldn't. I'd would LOVE to see Scottosan and junk yard dog again.
And mhenson42 is on my short list of people I would like to hang with from this forum. Wizards are pure boner material.
But I haven't see anybody that is important in my life enough as it is. I need to make personal time with them a bigger priority.
Thank the maker I don't have an old lady anymore. I'd never hear the end of it.

Gower, CCV Vplex, & KR7 would be great. I agree with maybe having some smaller(ish) separate rooms of different themes/tones. I'm pretty sure the place we did it at was busted apart by that big tornado that ripped through in 2019. Let's see where we land on dates & hope you can make it.

Brother: we'd love to have you, but totally appreciate your situation & priorities. I personally would love to hear the Kemper & X2. Let us know if anything changes & thanks for doing all you are to keep the economy going.
 
I might be interested in driving up from Houston based on dates. I’ve got a BE100 modded by Friedman and a Mesa Mark IV if anyone’s interested.
