Did I miss something?

Unfortunately I had a buddy of mine who has wayyyy too much money almost want to buy this thing. He Sent me a link to it and was like dude this is so SICKKKK!!! He’s new to guitar gear and this world in general, and has only played guitar in the plugin world days. I had to slap this idea out of him real quick. This was about a month or so ago. He doesn’t understand why I literally am such a Debbie downer on anything like this that he sends me, so much to learn! Haha

I’m just trying to figure out WHO even ever recorded with this cab/speaker EVER period… since it’s “the best cab ever”….. what a crock of shit… I’d take any cab I own over this piece of garbage.
Ive recorded alot at home with mine, all the ones Ive seen came with green backs. Used a pair of them for 100’s of gigs. They are awesome side by side. They were called multidispersion cabs. There used to be a picture of John Sykes using them back in the day.

They replaced my two 60’s basketweave Marshall cabs for live. They are heavy though.

So, I had this “Rare Worlds Best Wizard 4x12 cabinet”, this very one and I took the 6402 coned English greenbacks out of it and put it up for sale locally for $650 (empty)…

He (Marty) drove me nuts for two weeks with stupid lowball offers, then he finally came and bought it from me for $550.

He often includes “rare worlds best” in his ads… He’s delusional.
He’s been doing this for years in Toronto, under different names, so obviously, he catches that ‘one guy’ who’s hungry for an item, often enough to stay at it.
I will bet this is the same cab I drove all the way to Toronto to look at probably 15 years ago. Saw an ad for it on HC I think. Talked to him a few times and never once did it come up that it was snakeskin. Quite a shock to walk in his place and see that covering...turned around and drove home, kind of a let down so to say.
Still have the one I bought off Gary.

Yes, I bought the cabinet from Gary’s friend, (I think his name is Jay)… maybe it was after you saw it that he made sure he informed me (so that I knew going in) that it was snakeskin, but I was buying the 1993 wizard metal 100 amplifier with the cabinet so I just bought both together.

For the record and probably for the 10th time, that snakeskin cabinet was purchased by SQ, not from my friend Jay, but from some other guy named James P. The guy I know, Jay, would never fail to disclose such a make or break factor as snakeskin vs black tolex. I guess cameras weren’t around back then.

No it wasn’t Jay. Someone else had it. We all were gonna try and get together afterwards, but I was ready to get back home after that crazy day.

Right it wasn’t Jay. Don’t remember his name and never saw a picture of it or even thought to ask...I mean, who would think to make a snakeskin cabinet?!?

I was going to say, Sykes is the only notable person I remember ever mentioning these speakers. I did see a couple on our local CL a couple years ago. I don't think they were asking all that kinda crazy money for them.

Ya, it was James…
I never cared for the cabinet at all to be honest. I much preferred the 6402’s in a Bogner straight cab.
Maybe it was a dud cab…
The 1993 Wizard Metal head, that’s one I shouldn’t have let get away?
I think those early Wizard Metals and MC’s with C transformers did that ‘kerrannnggg / grind’ like nothing else!

Ugghhhhhh…. Why didn’t I buy Tiago’s/ @SBlue when I had the chance :( he had it for sale for months, I regret it terribly not picking that bad boy up. A close friend of mine whose ears I trust played it, said it was the most dynamic amp he had ever heard in his life. Bummer for me.

Yep... the harder I would push the 93 Metal I used to have, the more punch and clarity it had. Hard to explain and even harder to believe it's tone. One of the most brutal and clear sounding amps I've heard to this day.
Really wish I still had it.

That video was atrocious. Was that a TGPer playing high gain blues?

Thanks for selling me the Wizard cab.
I priced out a Wizard MTL Mark II head from Rick St.
Pierre at -$7,600.00 plus -13% tax plus shipping = A TON pf money.
I'm very happy right now with my three Peavey 5150 block letter heads.
Lot' s of tricks - secrets with these amps.
Hey I forgot your real name.
Did you ever get that JCM 800 head??
Cheers.
