Did I say I love my Renegade?

If I didn't, let me do it now. I've had it a year and a half and it just gets better and better.

Took it cross country to a friend's house in Omaha this last weekend and played with his Country band at a party. I stood in with a couple of Chesney songs and it sounded great.

Then my friend told everyone I was a big EVH-head and wanted me to play some stuff. I turned around and with a couple of knob turns I was playing the Mean Streets intro and Panama with the band - didn't skip a beat, and everyone loved it.

I don't consider this a jack-of-all trades amp. It's still, pretty much, a plug and play amp. But being able to do so much so easily really makes this an amp worth having for me. And it really sounds nice. I can't emphasize that enough.

I loved my head sold it and just bought another 212
 
After years with a Tourmaster (also great amp!) I really like my Renegade 212!
 
I love it! It's my amp... :lol: :LOL: We have good days (many),bad days (a few),great days ;) !
 
hbucker.....cuddos to you in going from country to EVH. I fully agree this amp is capable of nicely achieving this tonal spectrum.....and clearly you are as a guitar player!! :thumbsup:

One other comment I would like to make is that I feel the Renegade is at it's best while playing in a band situation (rehearsal and/or gigs). IMO this amp really shines while playing with a band....it cuts through nicely in both channels while playing clean and/or overdriven.

I can't really put my finger on why, but I find more mojo with this amp while playing with my band compared to stand alone. Not that it doesn't sound good stand alone....it does.

Anybody else share my experiences or am I just crazy? :confused:

I totally agree. It sounds great on it's own, but in the mix it becomes special.

It's as simple as that.
