Diezel Amps with Deep turned off and Presence low -> like a new Amp!

I think it is also a circuit revision thing. My 2001 does seem to sound quite different to all these newer VH4's.

Like I have said, the revisions over the years have been described as having a relatively minor impact on the tone and feel...But the difference between the early 2000's model I owned and my current 2022 VH4 is VERY noticeable.
