Thats what I kinda thought. I saw the OCD pedal on your board ;) The Herbert SLAYS classic rock. It makes every song sound 100X better hahaha

:D yes the OCD is a great pedal, but i use it just for a lil boost.
a great tool is the diamond compressor.

More compression!?? You must use channel 2 with the switch set to - lol. I play tech-death and it has too much compression for me on channel 3 with the distortion past 1oclock. I have it set around 11:30 with the treb up pretty good. It allows more then enough distortion still and opens it right up. Still compressed enough to stay in its frequency range in the mix but open enough to smash people in the face for the heavier parts and allows SUPERB clarity :D I love that amp haha. And my cat is always climbing all over it as well :/ What are your normal settings for playing? I also use a pedal for alittle boost and to "tighten" everything up. A maxon808. Doesn't add and static or unpleasant highend.

the diamond doesn't mistread the sound like other comps.
it is great in the clean channel or to fatten sound at weaker vintage pups.
my setting at the herbert is similar - but at ch 2 01:30 at gain.

Love the avatar!!!

Get the cab and the head and you'll definitely be the banana :D

Uncle Mo

Hahaha. I deff think I'll get the cab first to go with the herbert. But the question is.... Where do I get a German made front loaded cab with g12k100s here in the U.S?

Ok. Has someone ever compared an Engl Pro Cab with V30s to a FL Diezel Cabinet. Is it really a big difference? I mean, the Engl cabs are really good, too.
I would certainly keep the better of the Engl Cabs and go for a K100 cabinet first. That would should match the Herbet fine, while the forthcoming Hagen should sound great with the V30 cabs.

In all honestly, I doubt there is a HUGE difference. Subtle, sure. I've never owned one but I've heard the ENGL Pro cabs are pretty good. BUT..... The new FL Diezel and Bogner Uberkab seem to be the best on the market.

There's a few on the used market, and Brad King oughta be able to hook you up just the same. If not, I've got a couple leads in Canuckville for ya who may want to part with their extras.

Mo

Brad King can't get any ATM. I am interested in what they go for. That is an important issue. I can't find anyone selling one used. People love their cabs. I don't blame them haha.

Alex

When they came out, they were $1850 delivered new. I bought the very first used one to pop up here on the forum and I payed $1300 for it, perfect condition, back in late '09. I haven't seen another one for sale since. :aww:
