Diezel Cabinet vs. Bogner Cabinet

Hi,
currently I'm using an Einstein 100w with a Bogner cabinet, and am looking for a Diezel cab, because when I heard it in the studio it was amazing. Don't get me wrong the Bogner is just fine, but Diezel + Diezel = awesomeness.

In the meantime, I'ld like to know if it's normal that my Diezel-Bogner combination is more silent than my other band members combination being a 5150 with a Marshall cab. For some reason it seems he can get twice the volume I can achieve. Our settings are pretty basic, almost everything is left to center, and I'm using an OD-808 between the amp and my guitar.

Any tips, hints, or whatevers...?
have a nice weekend!

I would recommend ditching the 808 in front and finding a happier place with the inherent EQ on the Einy.

It should be able to knock just fine.... No sweat. My guess? The 808 is compressing your tone too much, so you're getting lost.

I own both cabs...

1. BOGNER rear loaded V30 slant cab and two Diezel cabs, one rear loaded v30 and the almighty German FL G12K-100.
The German FL G12K-100 cab is the best cabinet i have ever heard to date and I currently own 16 cabs.

2. Also BOGNER cabs are typically 16ohms, so make sure you are not running your head at 8ohms into a 16 ohms cab which will cut the volume back significantly.

hmmm... My mid's are 1 o'clock or so, bas as well and treble at 11 o'clock.
I don't hear a significant change in volume when I leave the 808 out, thanks anyway for the suggestion.

Any other tips?

Aside from the ohms comment mentioned I'd be curious what that head sounds like with those knob settings and the Treble at 11am. What's the Deep and Presence at, I'd take a guess that your not cutting through due to the 1500 to 3000htz range being suppressed and those other freqs being a greater % of your tone.

that might be the case indeed, I'll write down my settings tonight and post them tomorrow.

so, as promised:
channel 2 - Mode 3
Gain: 12 o'clock - Volume: 2 o'clock - Treble: 11 o'clock - Middle: 1 o'clock - Bass: 1 o'clock
Presence: between 11 and 12 o'clock - Deep: 11 o'clock.
(both channels have the same settings, don't really know if it would make a difference).

Also, yesterday, I tried putting treble up and bass down, but that sound isn't just ok in the entire band-sound, it's too shallow... well for us at least. ;-)
