Sorry ... sounds terrible as most video recordings.
The D-Moll sounds fat and full in person. My favourite amp
at the moment.

I don't doubt it does, you definitely can't get an accurate idea of what an amp sounds like via youtube. Im excited to test drive it for myself, I'm sure it sounds fantastic.

Please don´t get me wrong. I´m fiddling around for
14 days to get the decision for use a 47pF or 56pF cap
to sound it right to my ears. All this effort can get easily
destroyed

just add a switch so the amp users can spend 14 days to figure out what the like better ... and then they will ask for the feature to be foot-switchable

Well ... let´s call it the mood switch

and setting one could be called "modded", setting two "mooded"

:D

I have to agree to Peters post, I haven't seen any video that shows really what the D-Moll is all about. The sounds examples are terrible

Had the privileged to play the d-Moll at the DIEZEL booth at the Frankfurt Musik Messe :D . I was blowing away, what an amp  .

It was nearly to perfect and I can understand Peter post about which choice of cap he wants to use. This can make a huge difference and push that in a different direction what probably is not Peters intention. So from an engineers perspective, who wants always to deliver the prefect and best product, it#s clear that it need his time to gain the maturity. Can related to that.

Keep on Peter you will get it. For sure you have a new DIEZEL fan which anticipation is big on that new amp model.

Peter, maybe I can help you to find the cap if you want ( from engineer to engineer :) ) I'm from Germany ( Ecke Wiesbaden/Mainz) if you want you can ping me I would be more than happy to help.

peter, i don't understand that... all the peters as master engineers, guitar players, musicians, producers in your house... why don't you just make a promo-video of all your amps... to promoto your amps and sounds as you love them? you don't need much for that nowadays: iphone, audio interface for iphone (sonoma guitar jack 2 (stereo), apogee jam (mono), small mixing desk, 2 mics for the amp, one for moderation, some good light, 2 hours time and go. upload on youtube and you will sleep better at night... well as long as max sleeps well, too ;)
it still does not present the power coming from diezel, but it's a start.

Send me one Peter and I will report my findings.....

Working on it

Peter,

My wife and I will be in Nuremberg on May 30th for the Rock IM Park festival for a few days. Peter S. is supposed to meet me there. Afterwards, we will be messing around Germany for a week or so, as we usually do and will try and wander by Diezel HQ if you are going to be around. Haven't really made much travel plans yet, but we are out of here for 5 weeks. Other than starting in Germany and heading back to Dublin for a bit, it is wide open.

Steve

Looks like it will take another 6 to 8 weeks.

Happy to wait - I'll speak to James (UK) so he can let me know

For gainiac players, what type of gain/saturation does the D-Moll have compared to the Herbert? On a scale of 1-10, 1 being a Marshall JCM800 and 10 being Diezel Herbert (in this case a Dual Rec is a 5). Throaty - pissed off gain or more smooth lead single note gain? Probably all over the map with this crazy attempt to describe guitar tones/gain. In the demo vids I saw the clean channel was fantastic. I like a good clean amp tone but also like the distortion channel to punch you in the throat.
