Hi guys!

I really want to pick up somthing different next summer if I can afford it. Right now I have a PWE Event Horizon and 20th Anniversary Bogner Shiva with EL34s. I love the british amp thing, a big thing for me is the ability to get thick, chewy, compressed, singing leads from an amp. But, I have a desire for that big, open modern rock rumble and am looking at some amps like the Dual Rectifier, Diezel Einstein, EVH 5150, etc.

The Einstein is at the top of my list but I hate that it does not have a solo boost. I really rely on that with an amp.

Any I keep coming back to my friend's Mesa Electradyne that i had in the room with a Diezel and we like the Electradyne better for high gain, with a boost of course.

I think I need more time on the Diezel, they are hard to find.

What are you talking about? The Einstein has a foot switchable 2nd master volume. That's the best form of solo boost out there!!

If you're looking for high gain tones awesome compressed solos and open modern rock then maybe you should check out Herbert instead.

Where are you located?

Dude knows what he's talking about. I run a 100 watt Einstein, using the 2nd MV as a boost, and it works AWESOME! But he's right on about the Herbert too. What ever fits with your bank account is what I recomend. A Diezel is a Diezel is a Diezel. . . .Right
