Try this for a lead tone in o'clock's. Gain:12:00, Volume: a little under 3:00, Bass:1:00, Mid: 4:00, Treb:10:00, Presence:2-2:30-ish, Deep: little after noon(between the e and p on the word deep), Master from 9 to 10 o'clock.
This is actually my Herbert's lead channel, it's very creamy and smooth, but I've played every Diezel available in the states and this is usually close to what I get with all of them, the VH4 I flatten the eq out a little more though, not much though, bass maybe a little more for it.
Hope it helps,

EDIT: To add, if you're finding it fuzzy and are using JJ exclusive, that might just be your problem.
The ECC83 is cool in v-1 but not much anywhere else. If your using E34L's it will also be alot fuzzier/can of bees then stock, as well I'd imagine one hell of a tubby lowend with an all JJ preamp because just changing v-1 gives you a massive low end boost, you could probably still get a good tone out of this but not what you're looking for, not sure though because I've never tried ALL JJ's just the power and v-1 all at once.
