My friend just bought a used Diezel VH-4, sounds great for the most part, but we're getting a strange break up noise, notably when playing the low string and palm muting. I recording a quick dirty video, hopefully you hear what I mean.

I do hope the problem's nothing more than getting a new set of power tubes. This noise problem seems to come and go, but when I was testing it this morning, it was consistently there. Sometimes there's also a constant hum, but it's at pretty low volume.

I had this problem recently when I got mine.
Turn your amp around grab a set of work gloves, while the amp is on (ever so lightly) move each power tube back and forth to see what one makes the noise. Whatever one it is, the tube socket pins that the tubes slide into have opened up a bit. They will need to be closed a bit to make better connection.
(DO NOT attempt this until your amp is off and voltage has been drained) Check with a voltage meter first.

If you tap your head with your hand the noise will come and go, its from the vibration of your palm mute.
