Hey guys!

Compare this to my "Modded Marshall JCM 800 2203KK - Standard Channel" clip and tell me what you think!

Regards,
Simon

The VH4 sounds a lot like my Triple Rec. Crispy.

They both sound great but I prefer the beef of the VH4. Just a personal preference. I've played Marshalls and the like for so many years I'm tired of them. I'm digging modern amps these days.

Have always been a fan of both but love the VH4 there

Loved my KK Marshall....your sounds killer...
But there is a certain thing with the Diezel that sets it apart. thicker mids? Not sure....but they sound close but the Diezel is more thick and more growl.

Both sound great! I'd side with the VH4 here as well. I haven't heard an amp that can keep up with the girth & beef of the VH4.

Yeah the VH4 is a thicker sound..more low mids? Great amp. But I boost my stock KK and for 1/3rd the price of a USED VH4 it's a great modded Marshall tone..and a great value IMO..I think they sound better than ANY newer Marshall product, especially when you put a clean boost in front. If it only had a loop...

I compared the Vh4 with my Triple side by side through the same recto cab, split in stereo and they can indeed sound very similar :)

Do you boost it with an additional pedal AND the built in EQ?

I really like your videos. Both amps sound great. So much gain haha. I especially dig the VH4.

Ch. 3 of the VH4 is the best high gain sound I have ever heard. Though, pair it with a recto, mmm mmm mmm

Yes. I have the 'Beast' engaged, mids and treble at 4, pres and bass maxed and assault at 7 and this thing just SPANKS with 6550s. Then I push it again with a Boss GE7 with the mids bumped and it gives my Cameron Aldrich a run for its money. In fact the Aldrich is a little more modern sounding, with the KK giving me a bit warmer tone. It's a really underrated amp IMO and when I boost it twice it sounds better than most everything I've had, with the Aldrich and Jubilee still in front. Great amp..love the way yours sounds also!

How about Peter?
That, sir, is completely uncalled for...but pretty damn funny...nah I think I'll just wait for one of his amps lol...

If 2 guitar players used those 2 amps in a band the Marshall would dominate the mix, it cuts better. The Diezel sounds smeared on the low notes and an Einstein I had had the same feel to it. The Marshall has that upper mid kerang that the Diezel doesn't have.

They both sound great but I prefer the 2203KK...that mids...

I have a 2010 triple, which i compared to the VH4 - both boosted. The VH4 is the lonely winner atm :)
But it was a really good combination, that's for sure

Thanks for the Info, the KK is great! I like it even more now, with the mods. Cheers!
P.s.: Take a VH4! :)
