Hi guys i know this isn´t the right forum but i´m not qualified to post on sales or trades.
I have a Diezel vh4 2007 to trade for a smaller amp like diezel schmit a einstein combo or something usefull like a good Les Paul.
I love the amp, best i ever played but but i´ll move to a tiny apartment with neighbours everywhere.
The amp is in great conditions, allways home use.
I can send detailed pictures to the interested people.

I´m based in Portugal but i can ship to anyplace in EU

What makes you think that the Schmidt or the Einstein are better suited for a small apartment? They are also LOUD.

imho: I would buy an attenuator or dummy load with headphones out and keep the VH4

I know they are loud but my problem it´s the physical space, probably i´ll have to sell the vh4 and buy a lunch box practice amp.

D-moll is not that much smaller or quieter or what not?

i'd stick to the VH4... its got a really good master volume on it for home practice and then crank the beast when in rehersals etc.

Best wait a while as there is a 20 watter Diezel on the drawing boards at Diezel amplification....who knows that may even come in a combo style??.

I haven't heard anything about a 20w Diezel, but I can tell you I used to own a Mesa Mini Rec an Orange Dark Terror (25w) and both were very, very loud. I actually have an easier time keeping my VH4 under control at home than the Mini Rec. Pretty much any tube amp is going to have the loudness issue. For physical size, the Einstein is smaller than the VH4 but it's not that big a difference. For very quiet practice, I have a Yamaha THR10 modeling amp - very small, it sounds great for what it is, and is only like $250. Plus, I've sold a number of amps of the years, VH4 was the only one I truly regretted letting go of, and I ended up just buying another one. My guess is that you would miss it...

I agree, it´s extremely easy to have a good sound in low volumes with the VH4, but my apartment will be more or less like this :

Wow, that's pretty tight. I don't really think the Einstein would fit either if that's what you're working with. I'd check out the Yamaha (or some of the other modeling amps)...it's the size of a toaster and really sounds as close to tube as I've heard an inexpensive ss practice amp sound. I'd put the vh4 in storage with family, friends, whatever you can make work if you expect to have more space sometime in the future.

There's enough space in there for a VH4, Hagen,Herbie and a 4x12...

Throw out the bed....

Keep the VH4.

I promise, it is well worth it.

Is your apartment really that small?
I'd go nuts from costraphobi

I was in the same situation as you a couple of years ago.
sold a VH4 + 4x12 because I was living in an apartment at the time.

I wish I never did. The master volume on a diezel works better than most attenuators, and keep in mind if you want to half the power, you'll need to go from 100 Watts to 10 Watts, and if you want again half of that, it's 1 Watt.
A 50 Watts amp will still be nearly as loud as a 100 Watts, so a good mastervolume is key.
I think Diezels excel at this, and that's why I'm going back, probably a D-moll (which has an amazing clean channel, and is very affordable in the standard version here in Europe).

If you want to save space, buy a 1x12 oversized or 2x12 cabinet, and put the head on it's side if it's too wide...

So I'm with the others, don't sell it, thanks us later. ;)

Don't sell it ! Put it in storage by a friend or family.
If you've got a computer, go for guitar rig or else. It takes no place.

Wow what a tight place. Still I would keep the VH4.
In winter it can also help to heat up the place :D

Thanks for advices guys!
If i dont receive a decent offer i´ll keep the amp and throw away the television!
