#2 tube slot has a problem I think.
If I move the tube I here some crazy noses like plugging in a guitar while the amp is running.
I swapped tubes and it seems to be when any tube is plugged into slot #2.

EDIT: I adjusted the tube sockets and bam! HUGE sounds and very tight!
Now I just have to fix this terrible noise issues I am having from my old ass wiring through the house.

Sounds to me like you need to tension the tube socket clips. Not a big deal.

But, I don't know Jack Sheet and I am sure someone who does will be along shortly.

Power tube or preamp tube?

What are you doing moving the tubes around with the standby off and the power on?

More details please.

OK so i figured it out, the tube sockets have female connectors that the tube prongs slide into.
Those were loose from the bottom, is there anyway to tighten them?

No I turned the printer off completely, waited 15 minutes and swapped 2 tubes (Power tubes BTW) This helped me eliminate the tubes from the list of things it could have been.

So I put the tube back in place, then from underneath I pushed the connector back up into the tube more how it belongs.
Its ok for now, but after time it may vibrate back out of place. Also anytime I do a tube replacement I will have to do the same type of thing.
So is that what they are called, tube socket clips?

A good amp tech can replace just the clip and leave the socket in place if you only have one that needs replaced. Or, if several of them are messed up and/or the socket is damaged it might be time for a new socket. I have seen some burnt pretty bad from a tube going really, really bad. If the tube socket is not "white" and is discolured or burnt looking it should be cleaned. You don't want a jumper between the legs.

Well, not inside you amp anyway.

UNPLUG THE AMP and re bend the clamps
carefully in the socket. Use a BIT cleaner spray
on the tube pins also.

Best,
Peter

Once you get it fully up and running you'll soon be smilling :D

I closed the clips so the tubes would have a better grab to them. Cranked the amp and played like that for an hour. Problem solved (for now)
if it come back then a new tube socket is going in.
What is the part number for a tube socket for this beast?

Thanks everyone!
