Good questions- seems like something they'd need to address for this "do it all masterpiece"I'm very interested in getting a VHX in the near future. Sanity check question though: Is it possible to utilize the cab sim XLR out as your main feed to FOH but also use the traditional speaker out to a cab on stage with a low master volume setting to be able to generate natural guitar to speaker feedback while keeping stage volume minimal? I guess what I'm asking is that the cab sim out level is truly independent of the front panel master volume setting?
Pretty sure I’ve used XLR out and recorded a mic on the cab at the same time. I can fire mine up and test that again. I will go do that now and edit my reply.I'm very interested in getting a VHX in the near future. Awesome. That was one of the main features of the Captor X that I really liked, so glad to hear it is the same with the VHX.Pretty sure I’ve used XLR out and recorded a mic on the cab at the same time. I can fire mine up and test that again. I will go do that now and edit my reply.
Edit: As I thought, you can definitely use the cab sim and the speaker/cab at the same time. Luckily I didn’t put an XLR cable into storage. I did not test balancing channel volume with XLR output levels, it was a quick test.
I agree. I love my VHX and I can get it to sound like my Herbert MK 1 and the Dmoll. They are all a little different but the Diezel DNA is there in each. It’s probably overkill owning all three, but I just can’t part with them. They blow away every other amp I have or tried. I A/ B the VHX with the VH4 at Sweetwater and I thought the VHX did the VH4 just as good if not better.Do you have one dude? I find it sounds nearly identical to my VH4 channel 2,3 and 4 but with a ton more voicings and features. Also the clean channel IMO of the VHX blows away the VH4.
