…..but seriously. They probably did tweaks to the channels sound and added more features in the power section, tied in with midi switching. But going on faint memory. Got to play a 3 a long while ago and just thought it sounded different to a 2, not necessarily better. They’ve always sounded good but if you go to a 6 knob Marshall after playing one you’ll forget about the Triamp even with all the bells and whistles. At least I always did.

I actually prefer the sound of the I ?
The II and III are both a bit scoopier and a bit fizzier, but have higher gain than the I.
They both have a lot more options, though.
