How accurate is this pedal when it comes to using it when on standard E tuning ? Does it cause the sound to mush up when going to lower tunings ?

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

I mostly use it for my drop A 7 string to tune down to drop G for some songs and it holds up great. After a few steps it’s a little noticeable but for me it’s good enough not to buy another guitar

thank you both. I watched a video by Euge Valovirta on youtube demonstrating the pedal. Pretty much bang on what you both mentioned.

thanks again.

Yeah it's great if you want to drop down a step or so. Sounds weird when you can also hear your guitar acoustically, but it's pretty handy at gigs ... avoids having to switch guitars for a song or two in a set.

The Helix/HX devices have a "virtual capo" that also does a great job. I've since switched to using that.

that's kinda my thinking... playing a gig at a place with small stage and not enough room or time to switch guitars, etc.. just switch tuning on the flying.

Works great for live use for the reasons mentioned above. I do notice it kills just a bit of presence in my rig, but it’s WAY worth it to avoid a guitar in a separate tuning.

Is the virtual capo the Simple Pitch model? Because I use that to go from Drop C to Drop B, and sometimes it doesn't track well. For some reason, it's only on that open C power chord.

I have one on each of my boards and they are used regularly for my band's gigs. I have been using them for years now.
There are a few songs that my singer wants us to play in a lower key and they work fantastic.
