I have been using amps for a while and am usually pretty good at figuring signal path issues but for the life of me I cannot figure this out.
I just bought a Digitech GSP1101, Control 2 footswitch, and a RJM switch gizmo. This is my first experience with rack gear and I am trying to use the control 2 footswitch to change the GSP1101 presents and switch amp channels concurrently. I am running set-up wizard 7 (4 cable method / internal and external preamp) on the GSP1101 unit and have been successful creating patches and the control 2 works well with the GSP1101 unit. I also can manually switch the amp channels by pressing the buttons on the RJM switch gizmo so I know the unit works with the amp but the issue is I can't get the GSP1101 and Control 2 to talk to the RJM switch gizmo. I have the midi/thru connected to the Switch Gizmo so I think it is just assigning the correct channel on the GSP for it to work but I have not been successful.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have gone through the settings and made sure the Control 2 will send the MIDI change signal and also enabled the MIDI/Thru ON on the GSP but I cannot figure out how to map or whatever. Thanks for your time.
