I am considering an RP1000. Has anyone checked one out yet? I was gonna put a pedal board together but then read some info about this and checked out some demos and it looks really cool. I especially like the fact that it can do amp switching as well. I'm not an effects snob and am really looking for the delay, chourus and switching capability; plus the price is right :D

no experience with the 500/1000 but i have a 250 and the tones (amp models especially) are great; smokes the PODxt stuff.

fwiw

I have an RP1000 being shipped to me now ... will be doing some demo videos for Digitech. I have not actually played the pedal yet, but it does seem to be very cool. Not only does it have all sorts of effects built in, but it is also a looper. Plus you can integrate your favorite stomp boxes in the "stomp loop". Hit a button and they are inline .. pretty cool. Can run the unit in your amps effects loop or out front ... or use it direct into a PA. Will post my demo here when it's done.

Great. I look forward to seeing your demos. I am a little confused though. A couple of adds imply that you can control amp channel switching with it. Is that possible?

I've been looking at the RP150 for effects only (delay, reverb, flange, chorus...) in the loop of an amp. Plus, now they have Lexicon reverbs. And I could hook up an expression pedal and have wah and volume pedal capabilities. For $99, that's hard to beat.

As I understand it, no .... I don't think it can change the channels of your amp. It does provide "amp emulation". Meaning you can use the unit without an amp. Then you can turn emulation off and use your real amp, and the effects of the RP1000 (plus your integrated stomp boxes)

I will research further about the RP1000 being able to change the channels on an amp. If I do find a way to do it, will post here.
