Dimarzio AT1 in a Gibson Les Paul Axcess - Will it work?

I want to use the guitar for 80's hard rock and hair metal covers. I will put a PAF 36 anniv in the neck position. Do you think it will work? For amplification I will use a Freidman BE 100 and possibly a Bogner Ecstasy 20th Anniv.

Absolutely! I pretty much use PAF style pickups in all my guitars and also play in a Metal cover band, I think they work great with a hi gain amp, sometimes a high output pickup is a little overkill through Hi gain amps
