So I ordered a set only because the relic white bobbins should look good in my V below…..lol.

I’ve used the 36th, PAF Master, and PAF 59 in other guitars. I’ll give a review once received and installed.

UPDATE

Just got them installed and OMG these are the greatest PAF variants ever! J/K, not trying them out until tomorrow….lol.

Not sure about the “Relic White” description and photos on the Dimarzio site as well as labels on my boxes……they are just like every other cream Dimarzio. Also had to spend 20 minutes straightening the legs because they were all bent and out of whack causing screws to strip. Pretty poor QC IMO.

Guess we will see.

I am more interested in the 59s personally, so if you compare them…

Thanks! I think a lot of people are waiting for some user reviews on these. I'm very curious how they compare to the 36th anniversary set.

Couldn’t find them anywhere online so had to buy directly from Dimarzio. Don’t think there are any out in the wild yet.

DiMarzio really dropped the ball here because you'd think that they'd send some out to the usual reviewers on YouTube ahead of the official release date.

Yeah but it'd just be a bunch of glad hand mealy mouth "these sound grea/amazing/whatever" reviews. When is the last time you watched a review that was highly critical beyond the usual Glenn Fricker clickbait crap? It's all a circle jerk of freebies for the big youtubers and dumb click bait titles to generate income for them and sales for the company. Give an honest critique that is less than stellar and say goodbye to the free and borrowed gear. The only channels that strike me as legitimate are the small ones with nothing to lose over critical reviews. Then come the cease and desist orders.

I'd take the word of a rig-talker on these before anyone else. Interested to hear what the OP's experience is.

I hear ya. However, I can still get a lot out of some of those reviews because I can hear the product. And yes, I know that YouTube audio isn't the greatest. LOL I hope all's well for you and yours, brother. PS: Fuck Glen Pricker.

You do have a point but a lot of times the reviewer has a rig or playing approach completely different than my own so it's often very limited helpfulness. Usually I find guys are either playing clean or going full tilt on the heavy distortion which, for a PAF, is kind of pointless to a large degree since edge of breakup is kind of a PAF stock in trade. Oh well. Ain't no free lunch.

Everything is good, here just avoiding the stupid bowl. Instead watching movies, playing some guitar, and watching the woman fry fish. I hope you too are doing well this weekend Johnny. Best-VB

They look great in the V, definitely interested in how they compare to their other lower output offerings

I think if you went with what they call parchment (or was that Duncan?), it would've been a better color match.
Or just leave your guitar (nitro right?) In the sun for a month. ?
