I'm pretty set on trying out a Dimarzio Steve's Special for the unique EQ it has, but am debating on what to use in the bridge. I play primarily with my bridge pickup and often blend the bridge and the neck instead of switching back and forth so I want something that can push the mids when I want to blend so it has a fuller sound. I have been looking at the Liquifire and the Evolution, but I've also thought about the Super 2. The Super 2 has output of 400 though and the Steve's Special 390, so it technically is more powerful. This is going in a Gibson Les Paul Traditional solid mahogany body with maple top and rosewood neck. What do you guys think?

I recommended the Evolution in the other thread, and I'll add that I've used it in mahogany with it being a perfect match. It has plenty of mid push and an overall balanced and smooth crunch.

Are you going to use the Steve's special in the neck?
I have one, but it hasn't seen much use. I found it "boring", in the lack of a better word. MAybe I should retry it? :)

do the Steve's Special in the bridge and Air Norton in the neck...great setup.
