Quick question on signal path for Dime’s rig.

On Grady’s infamous drawing, it shows going to the PQ then to the 6 band mxr. On a couple YouTube videos (Ola Englund, etc), he’s going to the mxr 6 band then to the PQ.

Which is correct?

I’ve read pq first, but with the higher headroom I always thought the pq4 should be absorbing the mxr. Unless clipping the mxr is part of the sauce

I've read it doesn't really matter try it either way and see what you like. But it seems most people run into the MXR 6 band first to take to lows out and then in to the PQ3 or PQ4 then into the Noise gate then Randall RG100ES.

I run it MXR 6 Band>FurmanPQ3>ISP Decimator>RandallRG100ES in my setup and it is spot on Dime tone. Check out Domicidal Covers for a great tutorial.

That’s what exactly what I have except I run a hush super c so trying to figure out best way to work it here.
