I talked to an old friend of mine earlier. It looks like he is trying to sell a Mesa Rectifier Horizontal 2x12 cab. I looked it up it has V30's in it. Any idea if this will pair well with the DSM? He is willing to sell it to me at a good price.

Yeah. Even if it had the C90 speakers it would still sound good in my opinion. I wouldn't worry about it because you can trade V30's all day long.

Any idea how the matching 1x12 cab sounds?

Sounds HUGE for a 1x12. I made hits last time I went to GC. I was using the DS40 there as I have one and wanted to hear the matching cab as well and see how it did for heavy stuff. Sounded so good I grabbed some iPhone vid. Straight amp and P90 loaded guitar.

I'd go with the regular DS 1x12 if you gig just cause it sounds more versatile and fills rooms better and you can find great deals on them used at GC website for around $350-450.
