Dave,
The power section in the Dirty Shirley is just incredible. I love the feel of it. To me, and I could be wrong, it feels like a voltage-starved (variaced) 6CA7 setup. I know this is due to a combination of the rectifier and 5881s.

Question...what would a BE100 with 5881s sound like? You get where I'm going with this? :-)

I'm in LOVE with the preamp of the BE100. The BE channel with the EQ straight up, gain on about 6, and the VH (sorry, "VOICE" ) switch engaged and everything else off is such a great sound. However, the power amp is SO tight. If you are looking for a bit more squish...say that 12000 feel...

Thanks,
Ron

It wouldn't give you more squish. It sound good though. Different.

This is a new R9 into a Dirty Shirley combo (Creamback M). Heavenly. Great work!
