Looks Like LSD (Lead Singer Disease) is creeping its ugly head.....
Guess he didnt learn last time eh?

They were never tight. The brothers originally invited DLR into the band because it was cheaper than renting his PA. It just turned out that he became an integral part of what was to become VH. Hell, he even named the band. EVH wanted to name it what, Rat Salad or something stupid like that. Everyone has to dance around EVH, and if you were in that position, you would be frustrated too...especially if you were DLR.

I am not sure where you get this, EVH has more LSD than any lead singer out there...and he isn't even a lead singer. You mean last time EVH blamed DLR...or the last time EVH blamed Sammy, or the last time EVH blamed Gary, or the last time EVH blamed Mike?

I dont know man.....those guys are all a mess. I read Sammy's Book Red....and he laid it out about Ed. Holy crap....if half of that is true....No wonder the original Van Halen fell apart.  Guy sounded like a basket case. But he is still such a great musical genius. ;) Cant believe he slammed Sammy like that. The "Villian"...??

I want to know how I can get a job at a newspaper "writing articles" that are just quoted excerpts from magazine interviews. Sweet gig.

I had wanted to see DLR back in VH for a long time, by the time it finally happened they were about 20 years too late.

I don't really care what they do now.

"Hope and faith are not actual tactics and strategies — they're strippers from Albuquerque." Classic DLR

I got the impression from reading articles around the time the album came out and tour that the only reason EVH did it was for his son. I think he's over it :scared:

I know nothing about Van Halen... is this the guy I've seen videos of in sequins pants and a headset microphone?

....yea fuck that guy...

After watching a crapload of live vids from the last tour I can honestly say that Roth was a total embarrassment (vocally) to the band. The band was sober, tight and playing better than ever. Well, maybe not 'ever'...but pretty damn good all things considered

..Roth on the other hand? Just awful

No LSD in that at all. Sounds like Roth is speaking his mind in a truthful and respectful way.

Really. DLR and EVH are both a pair of washed up has-beens. I wish they'd fade into the background and stop embarrassing our musical generation.

ps. take Lynch and Malmsteen with you

Gotta agree with this.

Bottomline, what VH has become is just sad. I think Ed is just wacked at this point unfortunately.

Read Roth's autobiography if you get a chance. Up until I read it, I though Roth was the jerk, but after reading it, I measured all the articles in which EVH slammed Roth and then read Roth's take and my mind changed.

Roth was a big part of the reason VH sounded that way. If you have trouble believing that sound was what Roth wanted, listen to what Van Halen sounded like as soon as Roth was out of the picture and listen to Roth's "Eat Em and Smile" and see which one sounded more like the cool VH era.

Yeah, give Gaga and Bieber their time unencumbered.

"Call me maybe"

I don't hear any LSD here, but a guy who would like to do something and others don't.
Mike and his voice is an integral part of the VH sound and let's face it, it's missing. Check the video below. It blew my mind.
I hope Ed will not take another multiple year hiatus.
