Do I Need These Caps?

My True Bypass Looper pedal is crapping out. I eliminated cabling issues or any of the pedals in the loop, so it has to be the looper. I popped it open and tried continuity testing the circuit, and the only issue I found could be these caps connecting the sends and returns. The only thing I could think of is these are to limit popping noises in the loop. Most of the schematics I found online though just call for wire. Do I need these caps in the system (test or replace them?), or should I just bypass them with wire?

Nobody? I guess I'll just jump the cap and connect the switch to the send and see what happens.

Those caps are blocking DC voltage to mitigate the possibility of anything in the loop injecting it into the signal chain and causing noise issues. Its not typical for a TB box but it shouldn't hurt anything.

If you're having issues its likely a bad switch or bad solder joint.

Continuity will fail across a cap because caps are an open circuit to DC.

As said before if you’re having problems remove the board and reflow the solder joints.

I jumped it with a wire and it works fine. Maybe it was just a solder joint.

I left the cap on the return side. Perhaps that will still do the job?
