in the same boat. i played ONLY lp's live and off stage for almost 10 years, then when the band broke up, and the gigs stopped, and i got a bit older, and my back got a bit weaker, i started playing other stuff again. Now, i'm liking fat strats more. its like i got LP burn out.

that aging does LOOK pretty authentic, but i agree with the "Italian fruitcake" about how any relic guitar still "Feels" like a newer guitar, and that the whole relic thing is a fetish. Not sure its strictly an american thing tho... Canadians and Brits like relics too, don't they? :D idk...

I'm not going to get into the whole relic argument - it's been done to death and was unbelievably boring the first 1000 times round.

For the record many of us Aussies are also 'fetishists'... like that's something to be ashamed of.
