Dev's a beast! I still dig his older solo and Strapping stuff the most, but it's all great depending on what mood I'm in.

Still haven't heard anything as frantic/intense as City or Alien.
And yes, a lot of modern metal players are influenced by Meshuggah either directly or through other bands that are/were influenced by them.

I love long songs, some of my favourite songs are 10+ minutes, Porcupine Tree's Anesthetize comes into mind. :lol: :LOL:

And they in-turn were influenced by those who came before them and made a big impact. Very little music (if ANY) is truly original, nor has it been for centuries. As long as I like something (as a listener), that's all that matters.
