I think you are admiring the TK-421 modification. Now we do that in store, very small price. With this mod it bumps it up about 3 or 4 quads per channel, but that's really technical talk. Doesn't really concern you!?

Or is that the famous regulated dc power supply?

'98 Blueface VHS with ten 12AX7s:

Unknown year VH4S with nine 12AX7s (hard to see, not sure why the picture is so small here). Not mine; I think it's a blueface. You can see it has the FS7 jack on the back, but doesn't look like it has the same preamp circuitry as the '98 Blueface above. The circuit's kinda in between the Blueface above and the '07 below.

Nah. I knew that getting into Camerons. This one definitely lived up to the hype sound and feel wise. They're just tools to me, like a hammer or screwdriver. But yeah, it's pretty scary!
