They don't get that much mention here although everyone knows how incredible Kiko was thanks to his stint in Megadeth but to me this was their pinnacle. I haven't listened to this in a while and every time i hear it with "fresh" ears it blows me away. I mean this is as close to perfection as power metal can get. Am I crazy? The whole band ripped in this era and they were precise live too. This to me is their best album and better than Nova era because it is complex. I can't imagine having to play all that shit live.

Killer stuff.
Worked with them 4 times at Progpower USA. Great players and good guys.
Highly underrated band

I got away a bit from the power stuff in the early 00s so I haven´t really heard them since... Fireworks, maybe? Which to my horror soon turns 28 o_O But I always liked them.

this song is a banger. lots of live footage of them playing big venues in this video because Metallica had them as openers in south america in 93.

Not crazy, that era rips hard, tight and complex, pure power metal perfection.

I can’t stand a lot of power metal (although I’m a huge Blind Guardian fan) but Angra was sick.

Love the cover they did from Kate Bush, Wuthering Heights. Andre Matos was an excellent singer.

My favorite song is Lisbon from Fireworks. After Andre left the band I lost interest tbh.

Yes, Angra is good. Haven’t listened in a while but they usually get regular play for me. Thanks for the reminder, I’d kinda forgotten about them the last few years. Will give ‘em a spin.

I like Kiko’s playing and song writing on the first 2 Dream Evil albums too.

I think that's actually a young and red-haired Gus G.

Take a drink every time the singer points out into the crowd.
